Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to St Barnabas CEVC Primary School. We are a warm and welcoming school in the heart of Market Lavington where children flourish and are the highest priority.

Here at St Barnabas, all we do stems from our vision that we should “love one another as [God] has loved us” (John 15:12), shaped by our values of love, aspiration and belonging. We strive to create a purposeful and caring environment where all children can learn, feel safe and inspired to be the best they can be.

Alongside our high quality and personalised curriculum, we provide a range of enrichment opportunities for our children to enrich their learning through music, art, sport, drama as well as encouraging them to develop their own voice, personality and opinions. We know that when children are given such opportunities, they are able to grow in confidence and reach their full potential, whatever that may be.

We are a small, family-centred school where each child is known and valued for their individual gifts and ways in which they contribute to the school community. Our close partnerships with parents and carers are central to all we do and we believe that a strong relationship between parents, staff and children is a key factor in enabling all children to reach their potential.

We are immensely proud of our children, our staff and their achievements. Visitors to St Barnabas are always welcome and we would be delighted to show you around so you can see our wonderful school for itself.
